Three activists of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) were reportedly shot to death by miscreants in Khagrachhari's Panchhari on yesterday. The murder took place around 10 am,yesterday at Shanti Ranjan Para under Latiban Union in Panchhari. The dead were Sijon Chakma, Shahon Tripura and Join Chakma. The organization's Khagrachhari district organizer Angya Marma confirmed that they were UPDF members. Angya Marma said that the dead used to do local organizational work in that area. In the morning, a group of 13/14 terrorists attacked them suddenly and ran away, he alleged. They died on the spot. He blamed the New Mask Force for this incident. Panchhari Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jasim Uddin said that army and police have jointly prepared to go to the spot as the spot is a remote area. The details can be informed by going to the spot.
