Religious Advisor Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain has commented that the martyrs of the July Revolution showed the path to liberation for the country and nation.
He made these comments as the chief guest at a discussion meeting and prayer meeting organized in memory of the July martyrs at the North Qutubkhali Central Jama Masjid in Jatrabari in the capital this afternoon. The Ministry of Religious Affairs organized the event.
Remembering the martyrs of the July Revolution, the Religious Advisor said that those who were martyred and injured in this revolution are the children of the sun of this nation. They have shown the nation the path from darkness to light. The nation will remember them with lifelong gratitude.
Highlighting the various steps taken by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dr. Khalid said, I have told the officials of my ministry that it is not a matter of who belongs to which party. I will see professionalism. All activities must be settled in the light of laws and regulations. In no way can the regulations be exceeded.
The program was presided over by Mufti Saqibul Islam, Khatib of North Qutubkhali Central Jama Masjid, and speeches were made by Nizamuddin, Shahriar, Mufti Abdul Wadud, and Mufti Mahfuz Anam, among others.
Later, the advisor prayed for the peace and forgiveness of the souls of the students who were martyred in the July Uprising and for the speedy recovery of the injured. Family members of the martyrs and those who were killed in the July Revolution, ulema, scholars, and general students were present.
