Mecca and Kaaba areas will be filled with the sound of `Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik`. The guests of Allah have started their journey to the Holy Land to perform the Holy Hajj.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has operated Bangladesh`s first dedicated Hajj flight in 2025. Today at 03:00 AM, BG-3501 departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Jeddah with 414 pilgrims on the way to the Holy Land.
Keeping the Holy Hajj in mind, Ashkona Hajj Camp has started resounding with the footsteps of the honored pilgrims. Biman Bangladesh Airlines is operating Hajj flights with the highest priority so that the pilgrims can perform Hajj smoothly and beautifully and return to their homeland safely after performing the Holy Hajj. Yesterday evening, the chief guest at the Ashkona Hajj Camp officially inaugurated the 2025 (Hijri 1446) Hajj flight, announced by Religious Advisor Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain. Important figures from Biman Bangladesh Airlines and other organizations were present at the event.
It is worth noting that a total of eighty-seven thousand one hundred passengers will leave Bangladesh to perform the holy Hajj this year. Of these, five thousand two hundred passengers will travel under government management and eighty-one thousand nine hundred will travel through private agents. Fifty percent (43,550) of the total Hajj pilgrims will be transported by Biman Bangladesh Airlines. Passengers will travel for Hajj from April 29 to May 31, 2025. And the pilgrims will return to the country from June 10 to July 10, 2025. A total of 118 flights will depart from Bangladesh for the Hajj. Of these, 94 will go to Jeddah and 24 to Medina; 13 will be operated by the government, and a total of 105 flights will be operated privately. Of these flights, a total of 94 flights will be operated, including 76 from Dhaka to Jeddah, 14 from Chittagong to Jeddah, and 4 from Sylhet to Jeddah; a total of 24 flights will be operated from Dhaka to Medina, 3 from Chittagong to Medina, and 1 from Sylhet to Medina. Of the 13 government flights, 8 will be operated to Medina and 5 to Jeddah. The pilgrims will return home through a total of 108 flights. Of which 74 flights will be operated from Jeddah, 34 from Medina. Of these, 13 are government flights, and 95 are private flights. 59 flights will be operated from Jeddah to Dhaka, 12 from Jeddah to Chittagong, and 3 from Jeddah to Sylhet, a total of 74 flights; a total of 34 flights will be operated from Medina to Dhaka, 27 from Medina to Chittagong, 5 from Medina to Chittagong, and 2 from Medina to Sylhet. There will be 13 government flights. The number of seats allocated for passengers returning from Saudi Arabia is 45,588, of which 36,158 are in Dhaka, 7,104 in Chittagong, and 2,326 in Sylhet.
Honored passengers can travel in front seats for US$150 one way and US$250 for both ways, subject to front seats being vacant.
