Cold flow and severe winter prevailed across the country for several days. Considering the hardships of school students in severe winter, the Department of Secondary Education (DSHE) has issued a notification of school holidays in temperatures below 10 degrees. But how do students and parents will know this message? Parents and students are in a dilemma about which day the school will be closed and open. One comes to know that the school is closed after coming to school. Again, even if the weather is below 10 degrees, the school does not close.

Officials of DSHE said in this regard, they will discuss this with the technical people of the local meteorological office and decide on this matter.

It is known that even though the temperature was 8 degrees in Dinajpur yesterday, all secondary schools were open. Although the primary school of the district was closed on the same day. On this day, the temperature in Panchagarh was 8.7 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, students of various schools were seen going to school at 9 am as usual without getting any advance announcement of the holiday. After going to school, students hear that the institution is closed.

According to the Dinajpur Meteorological Observatory, the highest temperature in the district was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius yesterday. 11 degrees Celsius was last Wednesday. The sun rose in the morning even though the temperature dropped within 24 hours. As a result, some relief has been seen in public life. Along with that, there is no effect in thick fog. But in Dinajpur, there are 3 cold currents in one month.

However, teaching continues in various educational institutions at the secondary level. In this regard, the District Secondary Education Officer Rafiqul Islam was contacted on his mobile phone but he cut the call.

On the other hand, the temperature of Panchagarh yesterday morning was 8.7 degrees Celsius. According to a notification from the office of the primary education officer, according the information of the Tetulia Meteorological Observatory, the lowest temperature was recorded yesterday at 8.7. In this situation, classes will be closed in all primary schools of the district. Teachers of different schools give leave to students after receiving such a letter.

Monirul Haque Monir, head teacher of Panchagarh 1 No Model Government Primary School, said, we saw the closure letter in a messenger group of teachers in the morning. After that, I called the education office and made sure that. Then I gave the leave to the students.

Parents expressed anger at this incident. A parent named Mahbubur Rahman said it is difficult for us to go to school so early in the winter. That's why the government has made a good decision. But we have to suffer due to the indifference of local officials.

Taslima Begum said I came to school after crossing 10 kilometers with my child. I came from the village to the city school with so much difficulty. When I came to school this morning, I heard that the school was closed. A decision could have been made a day in advance by looking at the weather forecast. How do they understand how hard it is for the baby this winter?

Shafiqul Islam, assistant education officer of Panchagarh district, told the Daily Post that he had to face problems yesterday. This will not be a problem in the future. We will inform the guardian one day in advance. The decision will be made through the weather forecast.

In this regard, the Assistant Director of the Directorate of Secondary Education (Secondary-2) SM Ziaul Henry told the Daily Post that the District Education Office will give instructions according to their convenient time. Take this decision in consultation with the technical people of the local meteorological office. They will fix this issue.
