Mohammad Asadur Rahman, FCS, joined Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE) as Chief Operating Officer (COO) yesterday.
Mohammad Asadur Rahman joined DSE on 15 April 2010 as Assistant General Manager. Later, he was promoted to Deputy General Manager from 22 April 2013 and General Manager and Company Secretary from 27 April 2017 to 29 June 2025.
During this time, he served as the Head of the Board and Corporate Affairs Department, TREC Affairs Department, Legal Affairs Department, Public Relations and Publications Department, and International Affairs Department. He also successfully served as the Head of Market Development Department from June 2019 to January 2020, in the Product and Market Development Department, SME and OTC Department, Research and Information Department, and Market Operations (MOPS) Department.
Rahman was the Member Secretary of the DSE Demutualization Implementation Committee and an active member of the core team of the DSE’s Nasdaq and Flex Trade new system project. He was also a member of the core team for achieving full membership of WFE, selection of DSE’s strategic investors, and inclusion of Shenzhen and Shanghai Stock Exchanges as strategic investors of DSE.
Rahman, as a representative of DSE, participated in meetings and seminars with various stock exchanges and institutions around the world including Philippine Stock Exchange, Singapore Stock Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Futures Exchange, Securities and Exchange Board of India, National Stock Exchange of India, Bombay Stock Exchange, Maldives Stock Exchange, German Stock Exchange and others. He is a member of the IVLP Alumni.
Before joining the DSE Managing Director, Rahman will serve as the COO as well as the Acting Managing Director of the company.
