The 6th (sixth) Corporation Meeting of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Management Committee was held today at Buriganga Hall in Nagar Bhaban.
DSCC Administrator Md. Shahjahan Miah presided over the meeting, and 25 (twenty-five) members of DSCC Management Committee, including representatives of various government departments and organizations, participated in the above meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minutes of the Fifth Corporation Meeting held on 20 March 2025 were consolidated and the implementation progress report was reviewed. Later, discussions and decisions were taken according to the agenda of the meeting.
Due to the failure to obtain the desired price for the Khas of (a) Fulbaria Stopover Bus Terminal, (b) Dholaikhal Truck Terminal under DSCC, permission was given to send a report to the Local Government Department to re-evaluate the lease price in light of the `Policy on Management of Government Markets, Lease System and Distribution of Income from It-2011`.
The meeting approved a one-time financial grant from the discretionary fund of the Administrator of DSCC.
It was also decided to sign a memorandum of understanding between DSCC and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) to settle the 5 services required for starting a business in a single application.
In the closing speech, the Chairman of the Management Committee and Administrator of DSCC Md. Shahjahan Mia said that the corporation will continue to provide services to the citizens by prioritizing the citizens in the meeting.
He called on the city residents to keep the doors and windows of their houses closed half an hour before and after Maghrib to prevent Aedes mosquitoes in the upcoming dengue season, along with DSCC, and to ensure that water does not accumulate inside the houses.
DSCC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Zillur Rahman, Dhaka South City Corporation Secretary Mohammad Bashirul Haque Bhuiyan, along with all the department heads and regional executive officers, were present in the meeting.
