Conquering story of a born blind Ripon

Imroz Hossain Ripon (36) is the son of late Abdus Sobhan of Kompanigonj of Noakhali Ward No. 8. He is a young man born blind. Visual impairment is also not a barrier for man, to prove that his struggle starts from the very beginning of life. This young man is an electrician and plumber by profession. Besides, there is a small electrical shop next to the house. In spite of his physical limitations, he is working as an electrician and pipe fitter. Local residents are inspired by his efforts. He is his own inspiration. When electrification started in his village, he dreamed of learning electrical work in Ripon. But parents and local electricians prevented it. After that, Ripon tried to learn electrical work alone in his living room.

At one stage, his parents started shouting about it. For this reason, he used to hide electrical working equipment. After leaving the house, he went to the balcony behind the family to exercise. Sitting there alone, after trying for a long time, he mastered the work of electrician, plumber and solar. After that he completed the electrical work of about 200 houses including several mosques in his village for the last 18 years. He is also doing numerous repairs.

The relationship of his pulse is with all the roads of his village. He walks on the streets without anyone's help. Go to his shop alone. He does everything from bathing to food by himself without anyone's help. Ripon has not received any government support so far. However, being self-reliant, he is not interested in getting the disability allowance from the government. Shahina Akhtar, Ripon's wife, said that although the husband is visually impaired, he is completely different from others. He can do all his work himself.
