Intense heatwave grips public in Kishoreganj

Public life became exhausted of the scorching sun and intense heat across the country. Not only during the day, but also at night, people are not able to sleep in the heat because there is a lot of load shedding in Kishoreganj.

After observing, it was seen that the working people and various professionals are getting tired of the sweltering heat. Normal life is being disrupted. Some day laborers were seen sitting under the tree.

Talking with them, they said that they are not able to work in the excessive heat and can not bear the strong hit of sun, so they are taking shelter under the tree in the middle of work.

Farmer Shawkat said, "The situation is very bad while harvesting crops in the scorching heat. Even if you drink cold water and lemon juice again and again, there is no relief. In this excessive heat, public life has miserable, resulting in the outbreak of fever, cold, cough."

Meanwhile, children and the elderly have been falling sick due to the heat in the last few days. Meanwhile, the demand for cold drinks has increased due to the increase in heatwave. Sugarcane juice, palm shells, coconut and lemon juice with various fruits are being sold in large quantities on the footpaths.

Rickshaw puller Rubel said, "Due to the extreme heat and high temperature, we get fewer passengers even after going out for work, so our income is decreasing."

In this situation, the Meteorological Office has issued a warning for three days across the country yesterday.

Dr Salahuddin Mithu said that to keep the body cool in the summer, we have to pay more attention to nutritious and healthy foods because there are some foods that help keep our body cool from inside. In excessive heat, a lot of water and salt are released from the body. There may also be diseases like diarrhea, heatstroke in the summer.

He also said that at this time, avoiding extra spicy foods, oily foods, mint leaves, watermelon, cucumber, yogurt, water, vegetables, all these foods should be eaten more and to take more pure water, food saline and liquid food.
