A social organization named Rights for Coastal People (RCP) has debuted to increase social awareness and make citizens aware of their rights to ensure appropriate civic facilities for the people of coastal areas.
This information was given in a press release signed by the organization`s office secretary, Mahfuzur Rahman Manju, on Thursday.
It said that the executive committee of the organization was formed on April 3 in an auditorium of CharFashion in Bhola. Redwanul Haque, a senior reporter of private television DBC News, was elected as the chairman of the organization, and Ibrahim Khalil Sabuj, vice-principal of Char Fashion Residential Model School and College, was elected as the secretary general.
The other members of the committee are, Vice Chairman Md. Amjad Hossain, Joint Secretary General, Nurullah Bhuiyan, Treasurer, Rabiul Islam Sujan, Office Secretary, Mahfuzur Rahman Manju, Publicity Secretary, Julkar Naim, Cultural Secretary, Sanjidul Islam, Legal Affairs Secretary, Awlad Hossain Asad, Women`s Affairs Secretary, Saratun Tawama Sabrin.
In addition, Osman Gani, Md. Ibrahim Mia, Md. Tariqul Islam Masum and Hasan Al Banna will work as members.
Initially, the organization will work on the rights of citizens in the Bhola district and gradually in other coastal areas.
