There have been allegations of murder of the elder brother by the younger brother over the dumping of cow dung in Chandina of Cumilla. This incident took place at the house of Anish Mohammad of Upazila Sadar yesterday afternoon. The deceased Hanif Mia (35) is the son of Anu Mia of that area. The accused killer Anis Mia is the younger brother of the deceased.
Eyewitness Himel said that Hanif and Anis Mia have separate cow farms. Two brothers have been dumping cow dung in each other's empty space near the house for a long time. On yesteday afternoon, there was an argument between two brothers over the dumping of cow dung at that place. At one stage Anis Mia beat Hanif Mia with wood. At this time, wood entered Hanif's left eye and hit his head. Later he was rescued and taken to Chandina Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Chandina police station SI Md Gias Uddin said, Anis Mia fled after the incident. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused with legal measures in this incident.
