The Department of Development Studies under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organized a seminar titled “Policy Process, Institutional Reform and Sustainable Development in Bangladesh: Contemporary Issues and Challenges” at Bijoy Auditorium, BUP yesterday.
The timely and thought-provoking seminar brought together policymakers, academics, development professionals, and students to critically explore the intersections of governance, policy reform, and sustainable development in the context of Bangladesh.
As the nation is undergoing rapid socio-economic transitions and confronts global sustainability challenges, the seminar aimed at creating a platform for informed discussions and solution-oriented thinking.
Dr. Asif Mohammad Shahan, Professor, Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka presented the keynote while Assistant Professor Shashish Shami Kamal and Assistant Professor Tanjila Afrin, both from the Department of Development Studies, FASS, BUP were present as panel speakers.
Among others, BUP high officials, faculty members, and students were also present in the programme.
