BSF returned the body of youth

The body of Al-Amin (38), a Bangladeshi youth killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) across the Nitpur border in Porsha upazila of Naogaon, has been returned. Last Wednesday night, the BSF members delivered the body to the zero line of border in Krishnasada area adjacent to Hampania Border Outpost (BOP) of Sapahar Upazila of Naogaon.

Naik Subedar Abu Taleb of Hampania Border Outpost said that a flag meeting was held at the level of BGB and BSF company commanders near the 236 Main Pillar of the border in Krishnasada village of Sapahar Upazila last Wednesday night. The body was then handed over to the family of the deceased. Porsha and Sapahar Thana police were present at the spot while receiving the body.

It is known that last Monday night, Al Amin along with some others entered India by passing Main Pillar No. 232 of Nitpur border area. While returning to Bangladesh through Milmari area of Nitpur border with cows, they were chased by jawans of Agrabad camp of BSF 159 battalion in Maldah district of India on Tuesday morning. While others managed to escape, Al Amin was shot. The incident took place inside India, about two kilometers from the zero line on the India-Bangladesh border. BSF personnel later took away Al Amin's body.
