Mustafa‍‍`s father still mourns

The family of Mustafa, who died in the quota movement, is mourning. Mustafa was killed after leaving his rented house in Dhaka's Rampura to pray Friday prayers with his father.

His father came home after prayers. Mustafa was returning home after finishing prayers at the nearby mosque with his friends. He said on the phone that he would come home in two minutes. The boy did come home that day, but not alive, but a dead body.

Masuda Zaman, the mother of Mustafa Zaman Shamudra (17), who was shot dead in the clash between police and students during the quota reform movement, was crying while saying the words.

Mostafa Zaman's village home is in Madhyapara area of ​​Sirajdikhan Upazila of Munshiganj. However, Mustafa lived with his parents in Rampura area of ​​the capital. This year, he passed from Ideal School and College of Dhaka with a GPA of 4.95. He has an elder brother named Morsheduzzaman, who is a Japanese expat.

Mustafa's mother, Masuda Zaman, said that the father and son went out together for prayers that day. As usual, his father went to one mosque, Mustafa to another mosque to pray Friday with friends from the area. After the prayer, his father came home.

"I called Mustafa at 2:45 that day and asked him to come home. He said he would come home after two minutes after chatting with his friends. When my son did not return home, I called again around 3:30. At that time, a boy named Arafat picked up the phone and said that Mustafa was away working. I called again around 4 pm. Then Arafat said that Mustafa was shot," Masuda Zaman added.

She said, Mostofa was taken to Delta Hospital in Rampura. I went to the hospital and saw my son's frozen body. The doctor there said that Mustafa is no more, he is dead. I could not accept that my son died. From there I was taken to Better Life Hospital. The doctor there also said that my son Mustafa is not among us. During the shooting, a bullet hit Mustafa in the hand. The bullet penetrated the arm and entered the chest. Mustafa died of excessive bleeding.

Masuda Zaman also said, "When my son was shot, Mustafa asked that boy named Arafat to call me. I went to bring my son home. But I could not bring him alive. I returned home with my son's dead body.

Mustafa's father, Tajal Kal, said that he will not get his son back. I don't want to get into any more trouble. We have no complaint against anyone. I don't even know who shot the boy.

Narrating that day, Tajal Kal said, I was studying in class seven during the war of independence. I did not see the war at that time. However, I saw 8-10 dead bodies with bullet wounds in Dhaka's Sadarghat. I could not bear it and came home to the village. Last Friday, I saw the war. I saw a long line of dead bodies in the hospital together with my son. I saw the cries of the parents and relatives of the students.
