An anti-corruption debate competition was held yesterday in Naogaon with the slogan "Despremer sopoth Nin, durnitike biday din". The competition was held at the Naogaon Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Naogaon Beam Laboratory School and College and Naogaon Krishnadhan Government High School team participated in the final stage of this competition. The topic of debate was 'Social movement is the only way to build a corruption free society'. Beam Laboratory School and College won the debate competition defeating Naogaon Krishnadhan (KD) Government High School.
Adiba Khanam of Beam Laboratory School and College was adjudged the best debater. Former principal of Naogaon Government College Shariful Islam Khan was the chief judge in the debate competition. Dr. Habibur Rahman, President of the District Anti-Corruption Committee presided. Naogaon Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shaukat Mehedi Setu was present as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. District Education Officer Lutfur Rahman, Tanveer Ahmed, Siddiqur Rahman, Sharifur Rahman and others among others were present.
