Indian Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated the BGB Day through a joint retreat ceremony parade at Banglabandha Zero Point in Panchagarh.
Panchagarh 18 BGB Battalion and India's 176 BSF Battalion held the parade through a grand arrangement at the Zero Point of the Phulbari ICP border on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier, Panchagarh 18 BGB Battalion Commander Lt Col Jubayed Hasan and India's 176 BSF Battalion Commandant SS Sirohi inaugurated the festival by releasing pigeons and balloons. Later, baskets of fruits, sweets and crests were distributed among the BGB and BSF.
Lieutenant Colonel Jubayed Hasan, commander of Panchagarh-18 BGB Battalion, said the day was celebrated with the forces of both the countries to commemorate the day.
SS Sirohi, commandant of India's 176 BSF Battalion, said, "I thank all concerned, including BGB, for organizing such a program on the occasion of BGB Day. They gave a beautiful moment centered on the day."
