Members of Border Guard Bangladesh, BGB’s Nildumur Battalion (17 BGB) recovered 6900 rounds of ammunition including 11 air guns from Kaliganj border in Satkhira. On May 11, 2024 at noon, a special patrol team of BGB under the command of Basantpur BOP patrol commander Subedar Md. Mohsin Howladar under Nildumur Battalion of BGB conducted a special operation in Shitalpur Talbagan area bordering Kaliganj Upazila of Satkhira.
11 ownerless air guns and 6900 rounds, 03 counter recoil mechanism springs, 22 washers and 16 nuts were seized from the said area. Later, BGB handed over arms and ammunition to Kaliganj police station. Lt. Col. Muhammad Sanbir Hasan Mazumder, Signals confirmed the matter.
