Intense heat wave spread out the country. Rangpur District Jubo League introduced a humanitarian organization standing by the side of the people at such a time of disaster. Like the rest of the country, the people of Rangpur are gasping for breath. Especially the day laborers, low income workers, rickshaw pullers, general workers and pedestrians are in extreme trouble. Children and old people are getting tired soon in intense heat. Due to which normal life is disrupted. The incidence of heat stroke is increasing.
Rangpur district committee of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League has distributed fresh water, hot umbrellas, caps and food saline in such a situation. This support program was organized at Rangpur Press Club premises yesterday afternoon.In this, 1000 pieces of water bottles, 100 umbrellas, 100 caps and drinking water are distributed to 1000 people. Apart from this, Jubo League leaders and activists distributed awareness leaflets on what to do to prevent heat stroke.
Rangpur District Awami Jubo League President Lakhhan Chandra Das presided over the distribution ceremony. Bangladesh Awami Jubo League Organizing Secretary (Rangpur Division) Mohammad Sohail Parvez was the chief guest. Kaif Islam, Central member of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League was the special guest. District Awami Jubo League general secretary Mehedi Hasan Siddiqui Roni moderated. Rangpur District Jubo League Vice President Naushat Alam Raju, Vice President Anwar Jannat, Joint General Secretary Ashikur Rahman Sohel, Organizing Secretary Shamim Sardar, Publicity Secretary Kamruzzaman Liton, Industry and Commerce Secretary Shahinur Islam Gazi and others were present.
