A three-day 6th International Conference on Electrical Information and Communication Technology (EICT 2023) began at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) in Khulna.
Md Shamsul Arefin, Secretary, ICT Division was present as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the conference organized by the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at the auditorium of the university at 9:15 am yesterday.
KUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mihir Ranjan Halder was present as the chief patron. Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Sobhan Miah was present as the patron. IEEE Bangladesh Chair Professor Dr. M. Moshiul Haque was present as the guest of honor.
Presided over by Professor Dr. Md. Shahjahan, President of the organizing committee and Dean of the Faculty of EEE, the inaugural ceremony was also addressed by Professor Dr. MMA Hashem, chairman of the Technical Program Committee and Professor Dr. Md. Arafat Hossain, secretary of the organizing committee.
In the three-day conference, 138 technical papers selected from 472 technical papers from 13 countries will be presented in 27 technical sessions. In addition, eight keynote sessions and one technical workshop will be held in the conference. About 350 researchers, teachers, renowned engineers and technologists from USA, Belgium, India and Bangladesh are participating in the conference.
