The court sent Rafiqul Islam, a computer teacher at Boyra Vennabari High School of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila, to jail in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on the charge of taking a job with a fake certificate. Rashedul Islam, Stenographer of the District and Sessions Judge's Court, confirmed this information yesterday afternoon. Before this teacher Rafiqul Islam voluntarily surrendered to the district and session judge court through his lawyer and applied for bail last Sunday. After the bail hearing, Judge Fazle Khoda Nazir ordered to send him to jail.

It is known that teacher Rafiqul Islam has been working as a computer teacher at Boyra Vennabari High School of Sadar Upazila since 2001. He has regularly withdrawn salary and allowances since assuming office. The certificate with which he took the job was fake. When the matter became known, Nurul Amin, a member of the school's managing committee, submitted a written complaint to the Director General of the Higher Secondary Directorate on September 11, 2018. Because of this complaint, the certificate submitted by the teacher Rafiqul Islam from the district secondary education office was sent to Bogura NATRAMS College on October 24, 2018, for verification. The college authority verifies the certificate. After the investigation, the Director (Joint Secretary) SM Ferdous Alam informed the district secondary education office in a letter on November 16, 2018, that the certificate submitted by teacher Rafiqul Islam was fake. Later, on June 27, 2022, a case was filed against Rafiqul Islam in the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
