Jatiya Sramik League is one of the fraternal organization of Awami family. On June 23, 2003, ABM Sirajul Islam as President and Abul Hasan Akand as General Secretary approved the 30-member Kishoreganj District Committee for three years by the then General Secretary of the Central Committee Roy Ramesh Chandra. The term of this committee is three years but currently it is 20 years. Till date the organization is running with this committee. Although there is a committee, no activity is seen at the field level.
District Jatiya Sramik League Leader, Janata Bank Limited CBA Mymensingh Divisional Committee and CBA Kishoreganj Area Committee General Secretary AKM Atikuzzaman Bhuiyan (Runon) said that we do not understand why the committee of Jatiya Sramik League Kishoreganj District Branch, one of the fraternal organizations of Awami League, is not renewed even after 20 years.
District National Labor League leader Toufikul Islam Rajib said that the leaders and workers have become depressed due to the absence of a committee for 20 years. Organizational situation is also going badly. It is necessary to create new leadership through the formation of committees. Because there is no committee for 20 years, the leaders who have abandoned, persecuted, and suffered jail-tyranny are also deprived of their posts. The district leaders are now only looking at the central leaders, when, when will they give directions for the formation of the conference or new committee. The leaders and workers feel that it is necessary to take initiative regarding the formation of the committee immediately.
