A young man named Sheikh Ikramul Hossain Rocky (19) has been arrested by the police on the charge of trying to rape a madrasah girl studying in class 7 in Patkelghata of Satkhira. He was arrested from the Barakashipur area on Friday night. The arrested youth was the son of Sheikh Ahmed Ali of Dhulanda village of Tala Upazila. The madrasah student of the Kashipur area was being disturbed by the youth Ikramul on the way to and from the street.
At around 9:30 am on Friday, he tried to rape the victim alone at the house. At that time, when the locals rushed to the victim's call, the rapist Ikramul ran away from the place. Later on the day of the incident, the victim's aunt filed a case with the Patkelghata police station accusing her of attempted rape. That night, the police arrested Ikramul. Biplab Kumar Nath, acting officer of the Patkelghata police station, said that a young man named Ikaramul Hossain Rocky was arrested in the case of attempted rape. He was sent to jail yesterday morning.
