In 2021, Raisa Ferdous Varna, a child of Kaptai Upazila of Rangamati, won the President's Scout Award, the highest award of the Scout branch.

Raisa's father is a retired assistant principal of Kaptai Upazila Health Complex and mother Ferdous Akhtar is the head teacher of Kaptai Harinchhara Mukh Government Primary School in. Besides, Raisa's mother Ferdous Akhter Kaptai is the Assistant Commissioner of the kaptai Upazila Scouts Committee and the first female Woodbadger of the Upazila.
It is known that the President's Scout Award is given by His Excellency the President himself. Before this, the evaluation camp for President's Scout Award and President's Rover Scout Award candidates was held at the National Scout Training Center at Gazipur Maucha on 12th to 14th January. In where the Scouts who have passed the National Level Written Examination participate in the President's Scout Award Examination. Besides, this highest award has to be achieved through written, oral, practical and swimming tests at the district, regional and national levels after being selected through a long-term process. The award was also won by Raisa Ferdous Varna's brother in 2015.
Raisa Ferdous Varna previously won the Best Girls in Scout at the Upazila Education Week-2022 Upazila level. Besides, she was the leader of No. 1 Kaptai District Girls in Naval Scout Team for a long time. She was last in charge of Senior Patrol Leader. Varna is currently studying in Class XI at Bangladesh Navy School and College, Kaptai, Rangamati and is associated with the Rover Scout Group of the same college.
When asked about her feelings after the award, Raisa Ferdous Varna said, "Winning the President's Scout Award is a dream in every scout's life. It is the biggest achievement in my life. I have always dreamed of winning this award since the beginning of my scout life. My dream has come true. In the journey from Varna to PS Varna, I express my utmost gratitude to all the past and present Scout members of Kaptai District Naval Scouts, including all the leaders involved
