Isteshkha prayers were performed in Meherpur At 9:30 a.m. yesterday, the Isteshkha prayers held at the Meherpur Government High School Grounds organized by the District Imam Association. At the end of the prayers, the devotees prayed for rain, at which time everyone present broke down in tears for rain. Maulana Shafiqul Islam conducted the Isteshkha prayers. Prayers were led by Imam Hafez Maulana Roknuzzaman of Hotel Bazar Jame Masjid. Maulana Mohammad Shafiqul Islam spoke from Quran. Mirzapur (Tangail):
The devotees of Mirzapur in Tangail district wept bitterly in prayer for rain. All over the country, people's lives are under intense pressure. In such a situation, devout Muslims prayed Isteshkha prayers for rain in Mirzapur. Yesterday at around 11:00 am, Khatib Maulana Mohammad Shamsul Islam of Tangail Sadar Beparipara Jame Masjid led the prayer at the Deohata AJ High School ground of the upazila.It is known that about 2,000 devotees from different areas participated in the prayer at Deohata AJ High School ground. Besides, people from different professions were also present in the prayer. On the other hand, at 11:30 a.m., prayers were offered at the Bahuria government primary school ground of the upazila seeking for rain. Imam and Khatib Hafez Maulana Mufti Yamin Bin Majid of Bahuria Central Jame Masjid led the prayer.
Abdus Salam Sikder, a Muslim of Bahuria village, who participated in the prayers, said that since the beginning of Baishakh, people's lives have been disrupted due to intense heatwaves across the country, including Mirzapur. People from all walks of life are suffering from severe heat due to lack of rain. Today I prayed for Allah help to get rid of the intense heat.
Manikganj:
The devotees of Manikganj district wept bitterly in prayer for rain to get rid of the intense heat . Mufti Maulana Muhibullah led the prayers. Mufti Rafiqul Islam, President of Manikganj District Imam Moazzin Kalyan Parishad, delivered a sermon to the worshipers after the prayer. After that a special prayer is offered in the hope of rain. The devotees cry out to Allah for rain. Hundreds of local devotees participated in the prayer.
