A madrasah teacher in Alamdanga of Chuadanga was arrested for raping an 11-year-old boy. It was alledged that he raped the boy by threatening of killing.
Police arrested a madrasah teacher named Abdus Salam (35) in this incident. He was arrested from that madrasa of Jehala Union of the upazila around 10:30 pm last Saturday.
Arrested Abdus Salam is a teacher of Azizur Uloom Qoumi Madrasah and Orphanage Lillah Boding of Jehala Union in Upazila. He is the son of Amirul Islam of Anupnagar village of Gharadi union of the upazila. When this became known, the accused teacher Abdus Salam was chased and beaten up by the locals while he was trying to escape from the madrasah.
Family members of the child said that the child who was raped was admitted to Azizu Ulom Qowmi Madrasah O Lillah Boarding in Munshiganj area of Jehala Union of the upazila for learning. Abdus Salam joined that madrasa as a teacher 7 months ago. He was giving bad suggestions to the child at different times. Meanwhile, the Eid-ul-Azhar holiday is coming. On this occasion (June 12) on Wednesday night, the child was forcibly removed from a corner of the madrasa by threatening to kill him.
Last Saturday afternoon, the family members tried to send the child to the madrasa. He did not agree to go to Madrasa then. When the family members questioned him, the child disclosed the incident to his mother.
The police said that the accused teacher has been arrested in the rape incident. A rape case will be filed against him.
