An allegation of murdering a young woman, named Sandha Rani (20) and leaving her body in an empty house under construction in Rajshahi's Godagari, has been filed against her stepbrother and sister-in-law. Police have arrested three people in this incident. They were handed over to the court yesterday afternoon.
Sandha Rani is the daughter of Harilal of Shisha Baspir village of Sundarganj upazila of Gaibandha. The arrested are Sandha Rani’s step-brother Fulbabu Rabidas alias Babu (22), sister-in-law Minati Rani (25), and Adil Ahmed Palak (19). Adil Ahmed Palak is Babu's friend. His residence is in Lalpukur village of Godagari upazila of Rajshahi.
Abdul Matin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Godagari police station, said that there was a family matter between them, which would harm the accused people if she disclosed it. Because of this, the girl was killed. The arrested accused confessed these things. Speaking of going out, Fulbabu, his wife Minati, and Adil took a CNG to the Gogram area of Godagari on Tuesday afternoon. Before that, they bought a knife and cutter. Going to the Gogram area, they left CNG. Then they ate and drank at the hotel. Later, they killed Sandhya by stabbing her in an empty house under construction. Leave the knife buried in the drain of the paddy field while leaving. The knife was recovered.
