A school student named Mohorshed Alam (14) was killed after being hit by Barendra Express train at Naldanga in Natore. The accident took place near the bridge number 244 on the north side of the Madhnagar railway station of the upazila at 11 o'clock yesterday. The deceased Khorshed Alam is the son of Md Babu Pramanik of Purvjowan area of Madhnagar village of upazila. He is an eighth standard student of West Madhnagar Purushottam Bati High School.
Madhnagar Railway Station Master Md Momin Ali confirmed the authentic information and said that early this morning the schoolboy Khorshed Alam left home to study in private. Later around 11 o'clock when was walking along the railway track with mobile phone headphones on ear on his way to the station. When he reached the bridge number 244, he died on the spot after being hit by the Rajshahi-bound Barendra Express train. On hearing the news, the family recovered his body and took it away. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Santahar GRP Police Station Md Muktar Hossain said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving information about the death of a schoolboy after being hit by a train. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
