Biman appoints 82 new GSA

On Thursday, Biman Bangladesh Airlines‍‍` head office held a ceremony to issue appointment letters to 82 ground service assistants.

In response to the recruitment notice published in a widely circulated newspaper, 54,000 candidates applied. A total of 1,930 candidates passed the written examination. Out of these, 380 were finally selected. Of these, 69 were issued appointment letters in the first phase and 82 in the second. In addition, 122 were kept on the waiting list.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director and CEO Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said to the finally appointed candidates, “The main objective of those who have come to this profession is to keep an eye on the safety and service of all honored passengers. This is a challenging profession.

He gave important advice on maintaining satisfactory service to passengers and Biman‍‍`s image and the good reputation of the country. In his speech, he called on the new ground service assistants to provide improved passenger service in providing services at the third terminal.

Other senior officials of Biman were present at the said event.

It is to be noted that Biman Bangladesh Airlines has already purchased ground service equipment worth about Tk 500 crore to provide better service to the passengers at the third terminal. In addition, equipment worth Tk 500 crore is in the process of being purchased.

In addition, Biman has already recruited 304 new people in different branches of Biman. The process of recruiting more people is ongoing.
