On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Baisabi festival, under the initiative of Bangladesh Army, Matiranga zone, distributed saris, Punjabi and hill dresses, provided free medical care and humanitarian assistance. Yesterday, Matiranga Zone has been conducting various types of public welfare humanitarian assistance programs on a regular basis. In continuation of that, Eid and Baisabi gifts were distributed among 200 distressed and destitute families under Matiranga zone. Free medicines were distributed along with medical care to more than five hundred people.  24 Artillery Brigade, Guimaras Region Commander, Brigadier General Raisul Islam presented Eid and Baisabi gifts to the beneficiaries as the chief guest. At that time Matiranga zone captain Lt Col Kamrul Hasan PSC, Matiranga upazila parishad chairman Rafiqul Islam, Khagrachhari hill district council member Hiron Joy Tripura, Matiranga press club president MM Jahangir Alam, officials were also present. In the speech of the chief guest, Raisul Islam said, there is a very friendly coexistence and good relationship between the hili people and Bengali of our region. This is really commendable.

Matiranga Zone has been regularly conducting various welfare programs to maintain stability and peace in the hills. It is my request to you that you maintain this good relationship. Above all, I would like to say that Bangladesh Army has been on the side of people since the beginning by fulfilling various non-human needs. Likewise, as the only right confidant of people and a symbol of glory, this trend will continue in the distant future as well. Bangladesh Army is working tirelessly to establish peace in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Finally, he wished Eid-ul-Fitr and Baisabi to all present.
